Hourly Fee Incentives for EMI Courses

Since Spring 2022 (110-2)
The new reward scheme for EMI courses, implemented in Fall 2023, adopts an "Hourly Fee Mechanism" distributed in two stages.

※ Notes:
  • Course hours (including International Student Classes) are counted towards the full-time faculty's basic teaching load. The previous multiplier system is cancelled.
  • Applications for EMI or Bilingual courses must be submitted by the deadline. Incentives apply only after approval and compliance with regulations.
  • Faculty in benchmark colleges receiving awards are obligated to cooperate with the project execution.

Incentives for First-Time EMI Courses

Since Fall 2023 (112-1)
For full-time or contract faculty who open an all-English course for the first time since the 2021 Academic Year (Fall 2021) in alignment with the Bilingual Program.
Up to NT$30,000
Calculation Method:
Extra course bonuses are issued after the semester upon review and approval.
NT$5,000 per credit, for up to 2 courses (max 6 credits).
※ Notes:
  • Faculty members who have already applied for rewards for 2 courses since the implementation of this policy are no longer eligible.
  • The above incentives are administered based on the "M4 Guidelines for NTUT EMI Course Rewards".
